1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Calanio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
2. Description of service
Calanio is an AI-powered document generation platform that guides users through structured conversations to produce professional business documents including business plans, SWOT analyses, strategic plans, and similar outputs. The Service is powered by third-party AI models and is provided on an "as is" basis during the current beta period.
3. Account registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@calanio.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
- Use the Service to generate misinformation, spam, or content intended to deceive
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or create competing products based on the Service without our written permission
- Use automated tools to access the Service at a volume that disrupts service for other users
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
5. Intellectual property
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you provide as input (your conversation messages, expertise, and business information). You also own the documents generated for you by the Service, subject to any restrictions imposed by the AI model provider's terms.
Our property
The Service, including its code, design, workflows, and prompting systems, is owned by Calanio and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as described here.
6. AI-generated content disclaimer
Documents generated by Calanio are produced by AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete information. They are intended as a starting point and drafting aid, not as professional legal, financial, or business advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and using any generated content.
We strongly recommend that any business plan, financial projection, or strategic document be reviewed by qualified professionals before use in high-stakes decisions.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any generated content will meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calanio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $0 if you used the Service for free).
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party AI services to process your conversations. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, in particular for violations of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
